This is a type of coating which is applied as a dry, free flowing powder.  The powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form which is the main difference between conventional liquid paint and a powder coating.  The coating is typically electrostatically applied and then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a skin.
